About Me and My Approach
I’m Kaeli Harwood (they/she), a licensed clinical social worker with a strong commitment to an anti-oppressive, intersectional lens, guided by a deep reverence for the natural world and the interconnectedness of all beings.
Specializations
Trauma Therapy
I specialize in trauma therapy, utilizing EMDR and other somatic and experiential approaches. My goal is to create a space where individuals can access their body’s natural healing process, especially for those who haven’t found traditional talk therapy effective. Together, we’ll focus on expanding your internal resources and skills, processing emotions held in the body, and establishing a sense of peace and rootedness.
ADHD Coaching
I also offer ADHD coaching for those with suspected or diagnosed ADHD. Together, we’ll work on practical skills and provide accountability to tackle challenges like procrastination, disorganization, rejection sensitivity, depression, and anxiety.
Psychedelic Integration
I offer psychedelic integration services for individuals who are navigating the insights and experiences from their psychedelic journeys. The process of integration is essential for making sense of and incorporating these experiences into everyday life in a meaningful and supportive way. Through a compassionate, non-judgmental, harm reduction approach, I help clients process their emotional and psychological insights. This work can help individuals deepen their understanding of themselves, their relationships, and their connection to the world around them.
Services in American Sign Language (ASL)
I offer therapy sessions in American Sign Language (ASL) for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. I strive to create a space that feels safe, accessible, and empowering, where clients can freely express themselves and engage in therapy without barriers. Whether you're navigating trauma, mental health challenges, or simply seeking personal growth, I am here to support you!
My Background and Values
As a fifth-generation hearing member of a Deaf family, I understand the complexities of intergenerational legacies—the good and the painful. Identifying as a white, physically able, first-generation college graduate, and parent who is queer, nonbinary, and neurodivergent, I recognize the trauma that can arise from holding certain marginalized identities, and the immense importance of continuing the ongoing process of dismantling internalized white supremacy towards anti-racist action. I am committed to acknowledging my privileges and fostering open discussions about them in our therapeutic space.
