Welcome to
Moss & Ember
Therapy
Life has pointed edges.
Whether you’ve faced an especially traumatic incident, experienced the daily trauma of holding marginalized identity/ies, or are navigating intergenerational struggles within your own lineage, sorting through this pain alone can be overwhelming.
As a mental health therapist, I work with adults in the LGBTQIA2S+, neurodivergent, and Deaf communities. Throughout our work together, you’ll connect with the deeper layers of your inner landscape and root yourself in the present to find more peace in your day to day. Sessions in ASL are available & welcome!
About Me and My Approach
I’m Kaeli Harwood (they/she), a licensed clinical social worker with a strong commitment to an anti-oppressive, intersectional lens, guided by a deep reverence for the natural world and the interconnectedness of all beings.
Specializations
Trauma Therapy
I specialize in trauma therapy, utilizing EMDR and other somatic and experiential approaches. My goal is to create a space where individuals can access their body’s natural healing process, especially for those who haven’t found traditional talk therapy effective. Together, we’ll focus on expanding your internal resources and skills, processing emotions held in the body, and establishing a sense of peace and rootedness.
ADHD Coaching
I also offer ADHD coaching for those with suspected or diagnosed ADHD. Together, we’ll work on practical skills and provide accountability to tackle challenges like procrastination, disorganization, rejection sensitivity, depression, and anxiety.
Psychedelic Integration
I offer psychedelic integration services for individuals who are navigating the insights and experiences from their psychedelic journeys. The process of integration is essential for making sense of and incorporating these experiences into everyday life in a meaningful and supportive way. Through a compassionate, non-judgmental, harm reduction approach, I help clients process their emotional and psychological insights. This work can help individuals deepen their understanding of themselves, their relationships, and their connection to the world around them.
Services in American Sign Language (ASL)
I offer therapy sessions in American Sign Language (ASL) for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. I strive to create a space that feels safe, accessible, and empowering, where clients can freely express themselves and engage in therapy without barriers. Whether you're navigating trauma, mental health challenges, or simply seeking personal growth, I am here to support you!
My Background and Values
As a fifth-generation hearing member of a Deaf family, I understand the complexities of intergenerational legacies—the good and the painful. Identifying as a white, physically able, first-generation college graduate, and parent who is queer, nonbinary, and neurodivergent, I recognize the trauma that can arise from holding certain marginalized identities, and the immense importance of continuing the ongoing process of dismantling internalized white supremacy towards anti-racist action. I am committed to acknowledging my privileges and fostering open discussions about them in our therapeutic space.
Modalities:

My Services
Beginning Therapy
Beginning therapy can be a significant and sometimes daunting step, whether it’s your first time or you’re returning to the process. I deeply respect the courage it takes to embark on this journey of change. That’s why I offer all new clients a free 15-minute consultation to ensure we’re a good fit to walk this path together.
If, after the consultation, we decide to move forward, we’ll work together to create a personalized plan tailored to your goals. This will include either weekly or biweekly teletherapy sessions, and we may supplement with shorter check-ins as needed. At this time, I am only taking individual adult clients for telehealth visits.
My Rate
My rate is $185/session, which is charged at the time of service.
Sliding scale rates are available for individuals from historically marginalized identities, including considerations of socioeconomic place, race, immigration status, ability, and sexual and gender identity.
Insurance
I can work with OHP and a variety of commercial insurance providers as an uncontracted provider.
If your plan covers out-of-network mental health services; here are some questions to ask your insurance company. I can provide you with a monthly billing statement (often known as a “superbill”) to submit for reimbursement to your insurance company.
Moss & Ember Therapy
Moss symbolizes quiet resilience and growth in even the most challenging environments, while Ember represents the enduring warmth and potential of rekindling strength after hardship. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your path of healing and growth.
